US approves $95 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan

This Saturday (20), the United States House approved a package of law, which will help Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, in matters related to security, the value is US$95 billion, which represents around 500 million representatives of the legislature, even those from opposition parties, were unanimous in the decision. The document will be sent for analysis in the senate, and should be voted on next week.

Democrats and Republicans work together to approve the law, according to experts, the legislation has a great chance of being approved, due to the great repercussion and importance of the issue.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, speaking through X (formerly Twitter), thanked the American chamber for the aid package for his people.

“I thank the United States House of Representatives, all parties involved and especially Speaker Mike Johnson for keeping history on the right track”.

The White House in a statement last Friday(19) highlighted the importance of approving this law, it is, in a certain way, a demonstration of strength and leadership on the part of the United States, in support of its allies.

Delay in aid leaves Ukraine at risk

The top US general, based in Europe, had already warned about Ukraine's difficult situation in the war. Without American help, the country runs the risk of running out of weapons and aerial interceptors.

The foreign aid package is essential for Ukraine to defend itself, Russia carries out several large-scale attacks, while Ukraine, with almost a shortage of equipment, responds sporadically in reprisals.

The Senate had already approved the package in February, but the president of the House of Representatives, Republican Mike Johnson, refused to put the issue to a vote.

The Biden government announced that it has already sent infantry weapons and ammunition to Ukraine and reported that the aid sent by Europe to the Ukrainians is not enough for their survival.

Russian government says aid to Ukraine does not worry it

Last Thursday (18) the Russian government commented on the Western aid that Ukraine will receive. For Putin, this will not change the situation of the Ukrainians in the war at all and all the experts who cover the war have already declared that Ukraine is in an unfavorable situation and this will not change.

Russian troops have intensified bombings and gained Ukrainian territory in the last year, they intend to continue occupying around 20% of the opponent's territory. According to Zelensky, the delay in aid has cost many lives, especially children and the elderly, in addition to the loss of important territories. Both countries began attacking military and energy bases, Ukraine attacked with drones, fuel depots and a Russian electrical substation.
