“War is Over” wins in the Best Animated Short category

The big night has arrived! Today (10) the 96th Oscar ceremony is taking place, the most important and traditional award in the world of cinema. The award takes place directly from Los Angeles, United States, and started earlier than usual, at 8 pm, Brasília time. In Brazil, the broadcast can be watched on the pay TV channel, TNT, and via streaming Max (formerly HBO Max).

Best Animated Short

The short film “War is Over”, by Dave Mullins and Brad Booker, but created by Sean Lennon (son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono) and inspired by the couple's song, “Happy Xmas ('War is over')”, won the Oscar 2024 in the category of Best Animated Short.
