5 most anticipated games for 2024

2024 looks to be a very interesting year for video game fans. With that in mind, we decided to select 5 of the most anticipated games for this year.

1 – Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Planned to be released at the end of February, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is probably one of the most anticipated on the list, as well as being the second in a trilogy planned to be a remake of the great classic from the first PlayStation. Starting where the first one left off, this time the game will feature a wider world and a new battle mechanic called “Synergized”.

2 – Dragon’s Dogma II

Sequel to a game released in 2012, Dragon's Dogma II is an action RPG from Capcom in which we take on the role of Arisen, a hero destined to defeat a dragon while exploring the world. Players will have allies called “Pawns”, in addition to presenting several vocations that define the skills and equipment available. According to the developer, the open world is four times larger than the first.

3 – Visions of Mana

Continuation of the “Mana” series, in this one we take control of Val, a young man from Fire Town who is tasked with accompanying his childhood friend on a pilgrimage to the Mana Tree. The gameplay will maintain the tradition of the series, being an action RPG, but this time with semi-open areas and large maps.

4 – Princess Peach: Showtime

Almost 20 years after the release of Super Princess Peach for the Nintendo DS, Mario's princess will star in another running and jumping game, this time for the Nintendo Switch. It will feature several transformations and the game uses the Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine.

5 – Contra Operation Galuga

Contra was a very famous series among gamers in the 80s and 90s, but it ended up not gaining much space when three-dimensional graphics became popular in the industry. However, Konami decided to rescue the series, and Contra Operation Galuga is a reimagining of the game released for the Nintendinho in the 80s, but with new stages, new enemies, and cooperative combat for up to four players.
