O Resgate series premieres on Jornal da Record
On Monday, July 24th, Record TV premieres the series “O Resgate”, on “Jornal da Record”. In the production, reporter Ari Peixoto and cinematographic reporter Leopoldo de Moraes board a Doctors Without Borders ship and participate in the frantic and emotional rescue of 13 refugees.
Record TV journalists experience firsthand the drama of those who see no alternative but to leave their homeland to flee wars, persecution and human rights violations. In lifeboats and on the Médecins Sans Frontières ship, they accompany the delivery of clothes and food, in addition to checking how medical and psychological care is provided to refugees.
“MSF’s work to save lives in the Mediterranean is inspiring. They do the kind of action that helps you realize that any life is worth the sacrifice of leaving family and friends behind for long periods of time. And they will continue to do this until the Mediterranean ceases to be what it has been for many who are trying to live a better life: a cemetery without tombstones”, says Ari Peixoto.
Editing is by Pedro Veloso, with executive editing by Camila Moraes and post-production by Cláudio Mõnoz and Yoshio Tanaka.
“Jornal da Record” airs at 7:55 pm.
