This Saturday (27), the first day of competitions at the 2024 Olympic Games, frustrations, emotions and hopes were more important than the performance of some of Team Brazil's athletes. Check out the summary of the Brazilians' day at the Olympics.

Fencing

Fencer Nathalie Moellhausen, the 2019 World Fencing Champion, did not do well in her debut, being beaten by Ruien Xiao, from Canada, by 15 to 11. The note of regret is that the 38-year-old Brazilian felt ill during and after the fight, and needed medical attention. In February, she discovered a benign tumor in the region of her coccyx and has been feeling pain.
