After a 5-year break, the Victoria’s Secret fashion show returns this year
The Victoria’s Secret lingerie show will return this year. The fashion event has been in decline since 2018 for having received criticism due to the lack of diversity and representation on the catwalks.
In this way, in order to regain their relevance, they will no longer bring the angels — who paraded in lingerie and used wings. The models were dismissed and replaced by models that could bring more diversity to the casting.

Therefore, some contractors are:
- Megan Rapinoe, American soccer player and LGBTQIAP+ rights activist;
- Priyanka Chopra Jones, tech investor and actress;
- Paloma Elsesser, model and the first woman to wear a size 48 on a Vogue America cover.
The brand will also feature the new documentary “Victoria’s Secret World Tour”, whose trailer was released yesterday, Tuesday (09). The documentary will be released in September.
According to press reports, the blockbuster production will be broadcast internationally.

In addition, the film will show behind the scenes of the fashion show through the eyes of 20 designers. Among the designers are creators who came from Lagos, Bogotá, London and also Tokyo.

- Ashley Okoli: designer and stylist
- Eloghosa Osunde: Nigerian artist

- Korty: filmmaker
Representing Bogota:

- Goyo- musician
Later representing London:

Phoebe Collings – artist
Finally, representing the city of Tokyo, we have:
- Jenny Fax – designer

It is worth noting that, according to a report by The New York Times, Ed Razek, who was largely responsible for both the fashion show and the launch of new models, was accused of a culture of misogyny, intimidation and harassment.
Well, it’s just up to us to wait if this inclusive way of dealing with the show will please the viewers, starting from the change of models models often previously presented to the public.
