Brad Pitt is suing ex-wife Angelina Jolie, saying she withheld any information about the sale of her share of the family winery to a Russian businessman.

The actor claims in new court documents that the association poses an “existential threat to the business” due to the new partial owner’s ties to Russia amid the war in Ukraine.

According to People magazine, the first lawsuit, filed in February 2022, sought damages for declaratory relief, restitution and damages, along with pre- and post-trial interest for the alleged unlawful interference of the defendants in contractual relations.

The complaint alleges that Angelina Jolie sold her stake in the property to Tenute del Mondo, whose parent company is liquor maker Stoli Group, which is “controlled by Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler.”

The lawsuit further reveals that the alleged sale was “illegal” due to breaches of “contractual agreement” between Jolie and Pitt “to hold Miraval together and not to sell their holdings separately without each other’s consent.”
