Antonia Fontenelle and Jonathan Costa are ordered to compensate advisors of R$30,000 each

The former couple Antonia Fontenelle and Jonathan Costa were ordered to compensate the advisor and event producer, Timotinho, at R$30 thousand each. The advisor registered a case at the 42nd DP of Recreio, in the West Zone of Rio, against the two for threats and insults in 2015.

Decision no longer subject to appeal by Antonia Fontenelle

The Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro, represented by judge Camilo Ribeiro Rulière, was clear “the compensation amount of R$ 30,000.00, for each defendant (Antônia and Jonathan) is coherent and substantiated that the arbitration proves to be compatible with the reprehensibility of the illicit conduct, the intensity and duration of the suffering experienced by Timotinho.”

“Antonia no longer has the right to appeal this decision, because she missed the deadline to appeal. For her, the decision has become final, meaning there is no further appeal. It's only up to her to pay”, says Clayton Ferreira, Timotinho’s lawyer.

The advisor’s lawyer talks about the next step after the court’s decision “We will proceed with the execution and the judge will determine the payment, plus interest in the form of the sentence”.

Reason for the legal action against Antonia Fontenelle and Jonathan Costa

The advisor reported that he received threats through messages from Jonathan on his cell phone with a threatening tone and that Antonia Fontenelle used phrases with homophobic terms referring to him. “She posted a photo of her calling me a 'fucking fagot'. That was super homophobic. And then she says she's going to beat me. For an old lady she should impose herself as a woman“, he said in 2015.

Timotinho comments on the court’s decision “I’m very happy and justice has been done”

“Justice has been served. Nowadays you can't do what they did. I'm a super helpful person to everyone, I couldn't let this go unnoticed and also diminish myself when talking about my sexual orientation. I'm very happy and justice has been done” commented Timotinho in an interview with the newspaper O DIA this Thursday, 16th.
