Baldur’s Gate 3 lets you have sex with a druid in bear form

Developer Larian Studios showed off some…shall we say…unusual romance options that could be realized in Baldur’s Gate 3.

One of these caught the most attention of players during the Early Access period and involves the Druid character Halsin, an NPC and potential companion who can be rescued from a prison. After that, if you choose certain dialogue options, Halsin can become more than a friendship.

Being a Druid, Halsin is able to temporarily transform into a bear, and he does so during a romance scene. Larian showed the meeting during its Panel From Hell livestream, even shocking TikTok, which took the broadcast off the air an hour before it ended.

“TikTok canceled our stream because it was too artistic and they don’t understand,” tweeted Larian Publishing Director Michael Douse.

“Have you ever considered the joys and pleasures of lovemaking with a druid in wild form?” added lead screenwriter Adam Smith. “Because at Larian, we considered it, and ultimately decided to give people what they want: tender, consensual romance with a man temporarily turned into a grizzly bear.”

Baldur’s Gate 3 arrives August 3 for PC and September 6 for PS5.
