Beatriz Oliveira and Lucas Salles reveal secrets from the SBT soap opera

The characters Bassânio (Lucas Salles) and Pórcia (Beatriz Oliveira) are part of The Merchant of Venice, another work by William Shakespeare, but just like the young Romeo (Miguel Ângelo) and Juliet (Vittória Seixas) from the soap opera by author Iris Abravanel, Bassanio and Pórcia face people and situations that prevent their love from blossoming.

The boy makes an effort to learn Libras and better understand what the girl wants to express. They decided to declare their love for each other and currently, the two are boyfriends.

“Bassânio is very insecure and I think that has to do with me, the actor Lucas and the character. I have always felt a very intimate closeness with Bassânio, we have the same problem, he is very insecure, he didn't finish school, he went to work, he couldn't get a financial education that could preserve him, he went to live in street, living on the street he felt ashamed, he always thinks he is getting in the way. His insecurity made it take him a while to take the first step with Pórcia”, says Lucas.
