Drake causes uproar on the Web with show cancellation

This Sunday (26), the Lollapalooza music festival published, through an official note, the cancellation of the performance by Canadian rapper and businessman Drake, 36 years old, which would take place at the Autrodómo de Interlagos, located in the south zone of São Paulo . The replacement was made by singer and music producer Skrillex.

According to information provided by the event's official Instagram profile, “unforeseen circumstances” would be the reasons for the cancellation and that the rapper was very excited, but would be without members of his sound and production team, which would make it impossible for the show to take place.

Due to the immediate repercussion of the statement, the artist's fans and internet users, with great humor, began to demonstrate through social media and even created and shared memes to illustrate what had happened. Lui Lorenzo, a character played by actor José Loreto, from the soap opera “Vai Na Fé”, shown on TV Globo, joined the sequence.

On the other hand, the cancellation of the Canadian's performance generated numerous comments demonstrating dissatisfaction, both from those waiting for the show and those who just admired the rapper from afar. “Lack of respect!”wrote a fan on Twitter.

Drake was last on Brazilian soil in 2019, to be one of the main attractions at Rock In Rio, held in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro. During his visit to the festival, the rapper was also the subject of debate on social media at the time, since the broadcast planned by Multishow was banned by the artist. Also according to Jornal Extra, the singer refused to eat food that he had not brought himself.
