Earth and Passion: Daniel’s death was not in the script?

This week, Brazil will be moved to see the exhibition of the death scene of the character Daniel (Johnny Massaro), in the 9 pm telenovela, “Terra e Paixão”, signed by Walcyr Carrasco. In the plot, Caio’s brother (Cauã Reymond) will discover that he is not Antonio’s legitimate son (Tony Ramos) and will despair.

Johnny Massaro was one of the guests at “Encontro” this past Tuesday, July 4th, to talk about the farewell of his character from the telenovela “Terra e Paixão”.

“Daniel will go through a lot of perrengue, final perrengues, since it is the end of this character’s trajectory. This is something we already knew from the beginning of the plot. In life, we know what will happen, but not when. And in the soap opera it’s more or less like this, because you know it’s going to happen, but not when”, he said about Daniel’s death”.

“As this whole dialogue, this story is inspired by Cain and Abel, so I already knew that the character was going to die, I went through a process of mourning, of denying it,” he added.

Massaro also stated that he learned of his character’s death in a very abrupt way, where he even got scared and went through a grieving process.

“At the first meeting, I arrived a little late, because I was on another job and Charles Fricks, who we’ll find out is my father, who plays Ademir, he said: ‘Oh, what a shame you’re dead’. Then I said, ‘What? I die? Like this?’. And then there was that first phase of denial in which I said: ‘I’m not dying, Walcyr. You will not kill me. I will stay’”.

Valéria Almeida joked that she lacked delicacy to tell about the death and Johnny Massaro explained:

“I think he thought I had read the synopsis, but as I was involved in other work, I didn’t have the time, but now I’m in the ‘okay, it happens’ acceptance phase,” he concluded.

In an interview for the Quem website, Cauã even spoke about how his character Caio will react after his brother’s death.

“Caio will be very upset, and will carry this guilt even more, in addition to the death of his mother, which already haunts him. However, he continues to love Aline, but she will remain connected to Daniel and, as far as I know, will not allow herself to live in a relationship with my character, “he said.

WHAT WILL THE DEATH SCENE BE LIKE?

The prelude to disgrace in the lawyer’s life begins with him discovering that he is not the son of Antônio La Selva (Tony Ramos) and that his mother had an affair with his uncle Ademir (Charles Fricks). He will find out everything the worst way: In a terrible fight with Caio and later with his mother confirming the story. In the sequence, he takes the direction of the road, bewildered, and crashes the car into a tree.
