Elon Musk strikes again – Mexico’s National Seismological Service, for example, would no longer work on the social network as it does today. Understand.
Elon Musk strikes again
Twitter has been the target of many questions and angry comments since the purchase of Elon Musk. The entrepreneur constantly announces changes that have been controversial. The subscription plans proposed by him, for example, are increasingly expensive.
The change of interface with excessive ads and its effort to try to monetize the social network is being noticed, which does not please the vast majority of users at all.
Musk has struggled to maintain his finances and those of his companies, but Twitter appears to be a major concern. Despite owning the social network, he is facing consequences for an ill-fated comment posted in 2018 about drugs. The tweet caused several Tesla investors to lose a fortune.

And this week, a company from Mexico exposed another worrying situation related to the social network: Elon Musk has been changing Twitter’s policies. One of them can disrupt Mexico’s National Seismological Service .
What would that be, Musk?
This service helps in transmitting data to the population about all the earthquakes that are taking place in the country. The company has been using Twitter since 2009 to keep users informed and that is its mission. The company is serious and was founded in 1910. In 1920, it joined UNAM.
The social network is far from being just for entertainment. Overall, the restrictions Musk announced would mess with auto-tweets, which would cause accounts like these to stop receiving everyday updates. Look:
“Due to the new restrictions on the @Twitter API announced by @ElonMusk, the following seismic accounts may stop being published in the coming days: • Sistema Mexicano de Alerta Sísmico (@SASMEX ) • SASSLA (@SafeLiveAlert ) • National Seismological Service (@ SSNMexico ).”
“@Twitter will charge a fee for each Tweet automatically posted via its API. Accounts that publish a large number of messages per month, such as the National Seismological Service, will have to pay up to MXN 15,000.00 or more.”
