Fauve shows for the first time at SPFW

This Thursday (11), Brazilian streetwear brand Fauve debuted at SPFW N57 with the “Prelúdio” collection. Rio Grande do Sul designer Clara Pasqualini presented a show that plays with shapes and the contrast of weight and texture between fabrics.

The 57th edition of SPFW runs until April 14th and features designers from the most diverse corners of the country, who present innovative collections for the event.

Female protagonism

Composed only of women, the cast of the parade uses accessories made of wood and porcelain. Fauve is a brand that explores the use of more consistent materials in its work, with pieces that are inspired by the Fauvism artistic movement.

The fashion show highlights the brand's identity by bringing pieces with different prints using tulle and plush fabrics. The models attract attention due to their way of walking on the catwalk, which harks back to the days of sewing ateliers.

The makeup done by Bianca Megda shows more basic colors and well-lit skin, with a light touch of clay in some looks. The parade was marked by the emphasis on the female figure.

Fashion experimentation

The “Prelúdio” collection is accompanied by different formats and objects that have a special role in the parade. Alongside the Gila de Argila brand, wooden box-shaped bags, oval dresses and looks that refer to waves are highlighted on the catwalks.

As the name suggests, the parade talks about prelude and experimentation appears just before something happens. This experimentation also elucidates the independence of the brand that is established in a current Brazilian scenario in which national fashion is often discredited.
