Gisele Bündchen adopts new health and well-being habits after divorce
At 43 years old, model Gisele Bündchen recently revealed in an interview with “Harper's Bazaar” her search for a more balanced lifestyle after the end of her marriage to Tom Brady. In the interview that aired this Wednesday (17), the model shared insights into her daily routine, including mental health habits and new food choices.
A search for balance
Practicing jiu-jitsu became an essential part of Gisele's life, initially inspired by her children's enrollment in classes taught by Brazilian professor Joaquim Valente, in Miami. The model, in her own words, expressed a desire to learn self-defense to ensure the protection of her children in the world. However, the practice has evolved, providing you with not only physical skills but also a deeper understanding of the associated philosophy and lifestyle.
Speculation about a possible affair with Joaquim was denied by Gisele, who emphasized her gratitude for the friendship and support of the professor and his brothers, owners of a gym in Miami. Gisele highlighted the importance of positive energy around her, stating that these connections were fundamental at a time when false stories were circulating about her.
Daily routine and new approach to eating
Currently, Gisele's morning routine starts at 5am, including walks with her dogs and daily meditation practices. The model, in addition to her involvement in bodybuilding and pilates, incorporated jiu-jitsu into her life, training three times a week with her brothers Joaquim, Pedro and Gui Valente. These Brazilians, also third generation instructors, are an integral part of Gisele's new phase.
Gisele's cookbook, “Nourish: Simple Recipes to Empower Your Body & Feed Your Soul,” co-written with Elinor Hutton, is an extension of her quest for wellness. Aimed at families, but applicable to everyone, the book emphasizes nutritious and balanced meals, reflecting the food choices that Gisele offers her children. Her diet, now with minimal meat consumption, focuses on fresh produce and affordable pantry items, aiming to provide health benefits for everyone.

Beyond the model stereotype
Gisele says in her interview “I had this friend of mine in Costa Rica, he passed away now. He was incredible. He was 76 years old. And he told me – Gisele, when the blame or praise of millions of people doesn't bother you, then you are free” – reports. “When you're trying to be this person who tries to please and tries to be accepted and tries to get that from the outside world, you're never really going to be who you are.”
The model, who has always been associated with an idealized image of beauty, now seeks to be more than a public figure. Gisele shares her journey not only of triumphs, but also of challenges and imperfections, revealing a complex relationship with the expectations created around her. Her next chapter includes openly sharing wisdom gained over the years, aiming to inspire others to pursue healthier, more joyful lives.
