Evaristo Costa remains in the ICU under medical observation

Journalist Evaristo Costa, who was admitted last Friday (12), reported that he is still in hospital. He suffers from Chron's Disease, a chronic inflammation of the intestine, and is undergoing medical treatment in Cambridge, England.

Reason for hospitalization

The journalist was rushed to hospital after experiencing severe abdominal pain, stomach pain and fever, as well as losing a lot of weight. He commented that, due to these symptoms, he feels very weak and fatigued, highlighting that his immunity is very low, running the risk of contracting bacteria and worsening his situation, such as having anemia or developing serious infections. Evaristo reported that the pain only goes away with medication and morphine, but that it is slowly improving.

Evaristo took the moment to share everything with his followers, still hospitalized, he has been publishing his day to day life, showing what the hospital care is like, details of his treatment and how he has been feeling.

He also took the opportunity to talk a little about the disease and treatment. Using his Instagram account, he created a “highlight” to show everything that has been happening since he arrived at the hospital.

Acknowledgment

In a publication, he thanked him for the affection and all the love he has received. He informed that Chron's diagnosis is still very recent and it has been four years since he discovered it and, because of this, he has not yet learned to live with and control the disease, however, he remains confident that everything will work out.

He also mentioned that there are many people rooting for his recovery, which is very good. In a form of humor, as he likes to be, he told them to keep sending messages, recipes and other things, as he has plenty of time to read. He concluded by saying that if people are with him, he is stronger, and asked them to never lose their humor.
