Glória Groove stands out in new rap project: Poesia Acústica 14

Drag singer Glória Groove, 28 years old, has just debuted her participation in the project “Acoustic Poetry”. Directed by Uriel Calomeni and Mavi, along with Glória, it features Djonga, Wiu, KayBlack, MC Ryan, Cesar MC, Derxan, Lourena and Major RD, the project which was launched on all streaming channels this Thursday ( 20) by Pineapple StormTV, also features the initial melody of “Girl from Ipanema”. O “Poetry” in all editions it seeks to bring the reality experienced by many Brazilians, talking about different topics in rap format.

The birth of “Acoustic Poetry”

The Rio de Janeiro project was born from the union of the companies Pineapple Supply and BrainStorm Estúdios e Produções, which created the channel “Pineapple StrormTv”. Targeting musicians in rhyme battles, the companies wanted to produce audiovisual content targeting national rap with several projects such as “Poetas no Topo”, “Perfil” and “Poesia Acústica”.

The previous edition was launched in September 2022, the project “Poesia Acústica 13” with the participation of Luísa Sonza, Xamã, MC Cabelinho, Tz da Coronel, Oruam, L7NNON, Chefin, NINA and Chris.

“Poesia Acústica” made its first debut in 2017, with “Poesia Acústica 1”, with the title “Descompasso do Compasso”.

Glória Groove's career

Daniel Napoleão, better known as Glória Groove, began his career in 2002 with the musical group “Galera do Balão”, a new version of “Turma do Balão Mágico”.

In 2006, he was a finalist in the Raul Gil Program for the freshman group “Jovens Talentos” but only in 2016, returning to music as a drag queen, which Glória Groove scored hits such as the songs “Coisa Boa”, “Bumbum de Ouro” and “Arrasta” – with the participation of Léo Santana.

After that, Glória entered the most played songs with “Bonekinha”, “Vermelho”, “A Queda”, “Minha Música” – with MC Cabelinho, among others.
