The clubs Grêmio and Internacional, known for the Gre-Nal rivalry, joined the government of Rio Grande do Sul in a solidarity campaign called “Playing together for the reconstruction of RS”, with the aim of encouraging donations from special sectors to help citizens recover gauchos, who still suffer from the tragedy caused by the floods. The campaign launch event took place this Tuesday (21/05) and was attended by figures such as Eduardo Leite, governor of the state, and Alberto Guerra and Alessandro Barcellos, presidents of Grêmio and Inter, respectively.
Campaign actions
In RS, out of 497 municipalities, 464 were affected by the tragedy and the campaign launched by the two clubs aims to collaborate with the recovery of the lives of those affected. Like a large part of the Brazilian people, the clubs found ways to collaborate.
According to Globo Esportes, the Gre-Nal duo will provide space on their properties to companies that open lines of credit, make cash donations, provide bonuses for products and materials to families and even small businesses that were affected.
Other teams showed interest in collaborating with the campaign's actions to minimize damage, actively participating in the reconstruction of Rio Grande do Sul.

Gaucho football
The two clubs face great losses due to flooding in the training centers: Parque Gigante and Luiz Carvalho, for the Grêmio team; Arena and Beira-Rio, centers of the Internacional club. There is still no forecast or deadline that indicates when they will be able to train again in their own spaces.
Last Friday (17/05), in a meeting with ministers Paulo Pimenta and Waldez Goés (the first being a representative of the Extraordinary Secretariat of the Presidency for Support to Rio Grande do Sul; and the second, minister of Regional Development), Rio Grande do Sul clubs discussed measures to reduce the impacts of the tragedy and what the future of football will be like for clubs after the tragedy.
