Moreno advances in his recovery and Bruno Rodrigues trains without restrictions at Palmeiras

The Palmeiras squad returned to training this Monday morning at the football academy, with two new developments that could bring relief to coach Abel Ferreira. Aníbal Moreno, the team's midfielder, took significant steps in his recovery from the eye trauma suffered 11 days ago, during the match against Liverpool, Uruguay. After undergoing an eye procedure, Moreno began the transition between the physical and technical aspects, participating in activities full time, albeit with some restrictions.

“It's a great relief to be back on the field, even if it's still under some limitations. I want to thank God, my family and the entire Palmeiras medical department, who were fundamental in my recovery. It's very difficult to be away when you're starting to fit in with the team, but with patience and support, I'm feeling better and better and more prepared to compete at a high level again,” said Moreno.

Bruno Rodrigues ready to return
At the same time, striker Bruno Rodrigues, who recently underwent surgery on his right knee, participated in training without restrictions.  Rodrigues, who had been injured shortly after arriving at the club, expressed his gratitude for the support he received during his recovery and his anxiety about returning to the pitch.
“I want to thank God, my family, the entire medical department, which helped me a lot, and my teammates.  It was a very difficult period, as I had just arrived at the club, played two games and got injured.  But with everyone's help, I'm feeling really good, much happier.  I've already done a training game and I'm available so when I return I can do my best,” said the number 11.




Last Saturday, Bruno Rodrigues was one of the highlights in the training game against São Bento, which ended with an impressive 6-1 victory for Palmeiras.  The match also included the participation of Dudu, and both are about to be released to be linked again by Abel Ferreira.

Preparation 
With the 2-1 victory over Botafogo-SP at Allianz Parque, Palmeiras is preparing for the second leg of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, scheduled for this Thursday at the Santa Cruz stadium, in Ribeirão Preto.  Verdão has the advantage of a draw to guarantee classification for the next phase.




Abel Ferreira will have two more days of training to adjust the team, which could count on the returns of Moreno and Bruno Rodrigues, potentially strengthening the squad for the decisive clash.  The expectation is that both players will bring a significant contribution to the team, which seeks to advance in the tournament and continue its search for titles this season.
