Igor Dadona debuts his women's collection on the penultimate day of the show

This Saturday (13), designer Igor Dadona, known for his care in men's tailoring, presented his women's collection at SPFW for the first time. The debut of the genre took place after the brand turned 10 years old, and despite already making clothes for women on demand. This initiative responds to requests from admirers of his work who requested adaptation for a female audience.

The São Paulo designer, who expresses his creative streak in the traditional world of men's tailoring, this time featured feminine looks occupying half of the show, always with some detail mentioning another model of the opposite sex.

Among Igor's feminine clothes on the catwalk was a wine-colored silk dress, whose elongated hem turns into a yellow and lilac double-sided scarf for the shoulders. Silk is also present in a sophisticated men's shirt composed of vibrant squares, provocatively worn with shorts.

The luxurious-looking looks were made up of Swarovski crystals, embroidery and textures. A green and white check repeats the pattern on a skirt and another shirt, without being exactly the same.

Igor Dadona: focus on details and service

Recently, Igor was featured in Forbes Brasil, where he was acclaimed as one of the new generation of male designers in the country. Called an inveterate romantic, he says that since childhood he paid attention to the costumes of cartoon and video game characters, and noticed that something was missing in men's clothes.

“From the beginning, I realized the importance of incorporating sensitivity in the segment, which is traditionally more rigid. The difference is not being afraid to do things and not taking yourself too seriously,” he tells Forbes.

Igor also revealed that he has no desire to become a big brand. He likes to keep his business small, so he can experience each stage of the creative process and pay direct attention to each client.
