Jared Leto invites Marcelo, from Fluminense, to join the stage with Thirty Seconds to Mars

Vocalist Jared Leto, from the band Thirty Seconds to Mars, invited defender Marcelo to the stage during Lollapalooza 2024, in São Paulo. This Saturday, at the Interlagos racetrack, the player took the stage and participated in the song Stuck.

Recognition of Brazilian football

While interacting with the audience, dressed in the Brazilian team's shirt with Marcelo's number 12, Jared Leto said he wanted to pay homage to him. The Fluminense team reached the 2023 World Cup final with the defender in the last game.

After singing their set with the hits “Up In The Air” and “Kings and Queens”, Marcelo was caught close to the stage filming the singer's scene wearing the Brazilian team's shirt. Then, after being noticed by the cameras, he was asked to join the band Thirty Seconds to Mars.

During his show, singer and actor Jared Leto tried to pronounce some words in Portuguese, such as “açaí” and “samba”. “Brazil, you are the best audience in the world”shouted Oscar winner Leto.

Jared Leto and Thirty Seconds to Mars

Jared Leto is an American singer, actor, director and composer. Vocalist of the band Thirty Seconds to Mars, also formed by his brother Shannon Leto. The alternative band has been active since 1998 and has featured guitarist Tomo Miličević. Winner of the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for “Dallas Buyers Club”, Jared has written more than 200 songs alongside Shannon.

Lollapalooza 2024 Schedule

Lollapalooza 2024 started this Friday (22) and continues until Sunday (24) in São Paulo. Several artists have already performed, including main headliner King of The Lions right after Thirty Seconds to Mars. On the last day of the festival, it will be attended by SZA, Sam Smith and Gilberto Gil.
