Konami confirmed this Tuesday (30) that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater does not have the involvement of franchise creator Hideo Kojima or series designer Yoji Shinkawa.
“They are not involved,” a Konami spokesperson told IGN. “However, the development team will work hard to create this remake as well as the ports (for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection) so that they can be enjoyed on multiple platforms by even more players around the world.”
Hideo Kojima is currently working on Death Stranding 2 for PS5 and an Xbox project at his studio Kojima Productions. Shinkawa is also part of the developer’s current team.
In addition, Konami explained that the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 is being made by itself in conjunction with the Virtuos studio, which was involved in previous games in the Metal Gear saga. Virtuos has also starred in games like Dark Souls Remastered and Uncharted 4.
