“Leo” gets the job done, and is successful in terms of views on Netflix

Synopsis

Leo is a 74 year old lizard, with the dream of seeing the world, he lives inside a terrarium in a fifth grade classroom at a school, with teachers and different groups of children, since the 1940s, together with his best friend Squirtle (voiced by Bill Burr), a fast-talking turtle, who, like him, is grumpy and elderly. They talk to each other daily, and have never revealed to anyone that they have the ability to communicate with human beings.

One day, by chance, Leo discovers that animals of his species only live to be 75 years old, and he realizes that he only has one more year left to live the rest of his time outdoors. . Thus, he goes into despair, wanting to escape the four glass walls he has been in since he was born, however, nothing happens according to what he planned, and he ends up getting involved in the problems of the students and a substitute teacher called Miss Malkin (voice of Cecily Strong), who has the profile of being moody and terrifying. As a result, his last wishes don't happen exactly the way he imagined, despite everything, the end result surprises him.
