Marie Claire launches special edition of Mother’s Day in the month of May

Celebrating mothers’ month, Marie Claire magazine launches the May issue starring special women and mothers, actresses Claudia Raia, Carolina Dieckmann, Pathy Dejesus and Regina Casé. In an interview with Marie Claire, they tell how they rediscovered themselves, in different aspects, after becoming mothers — each in their own way. The magazine hits newsstands on May 4.

Mother of two adult children, Claudia Raia says that she became pregnant naturally, at the age of 55, during menopause, with the youngest, Luca, who is 3 months old. Despite being desired, the last pregnancy ended up taking Claudia by surprise. “He is my little miracle”. For Regina Casé, motherhood was not a target. “It wasn’t ‘I was born to be a mother’ or ‘I’ve always dreamed of being a mother’. When it happened, however, the actress embraced the idea of ​​pregnancy immediately.

Pathy Dejesus, Rakim’s single mother, tells the magazine that she got pregnant naturally, at the age of 41, after having her fertility discredited. “I fluctuated a lot between this desire (motherhood) and the focus on my career. When I was about 37, 38 years old, in a routine consultation, I mentioned this intention and I was not taken seriously, I even suffered ridicule”.

Meanwhile, Carolina Dieckmann, who got pregnant for the first time in her early 20s, tells of the partnership she has with her two children and that she always tries to listen to them to make decisions. “The great quality of my motherhood is listening. I always asked all the questions based on my children’s demand”.
