Transparency is featured on the red carpet looks

This Monday (01), in New York, the red carpet was rolled out for the celebration of the Met Galaan event created in 1971 to celebrate the opening of the annual exhibition of the Costume Institute of Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The event brings together a list of world celebrities, who bet on great iconic looks in honor of the theme of the year. For this edition, the homage was for the work of the German stylist Karl Lagerfeldwho spent decades dedicating himself to houses such as Chanel, Chloe, Fendi, Balmain, Patouin addition to your homonymous brand, provided a lot of material to work on in a beautiful exhibition. Among looks inspired by Lagerfeld designers, reinterpretations of his works and even his work “uniform”, transparency gained great prominence among celebrities. Billie Eilish

The singer chose a personalized set of Simone Rocha, consisting of a black bodice mini dress with silver accents and a full-length sheer overlay, lace detailing at the faux high neckline and flowing hem. To complete the look, opera-length gloves also in sheer color combined with sequin details, sheer thigh-high stockings and black platform stilettos by Piferi. Billie still wore silver Cartier jewelry, making the look even more elegant and daring.

The actress and singer opted for a dress all-black Prabal Gurung with an asymmetrical bodice and corset. On one side the shoulder was completely exposed, the other had a transparent sleeve supported by a black flower, from which a long cape, also in transparency, floated behind. The dress itself was completely sheer, except for the illusion of bands that encircled the silhouette against her legs near the skirt.

Inspired by the ’90s, Rachel walked the red carpet in a reimagining of Karl, the eye-catching dress by Sergio Hudson, comprised of a sheer black mesh long-sleeved top, attached fluted gloves and a low-waisted skirt. The dress included two strategically placed sequin embellishments on the chest, as well as sequins scattered along the waist and sleeves.
