Sony and Insomniac Games revealed the official story trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 at San Diego Comic-Con 2023.
To address the expectations and curiosity of fans, the trailer presents the narrative in general, shows the personal difficulties faced by the protagonists – Peter Parker and Miles Morales – who are unable to deal with so many responsibilities and decisions at the same time, and gives a more complete view of the villain Venom and how he was conceived by the development team.
The developers gathered at the Comic-Con panel to talk about the title’s core concepts. Among them, the fact that Peter Parker’s new black suit grants him Symbiote powers and affects his personality and relationships. Other novelties commented by the developers were the combat dynamics.
The game promises to bring an even deeper exploration of Marvel’s New York. “Now, you will be able to cross the East River and explore Brooklyn and Queens, Coney Island,” commented the developers. It will also be possible to glide through the city using the “web wings”. “It was an amazing experience to bring something people saw in the movies and comics into the game. We look forward to exploration from fans.”
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 comes out October 20 for PS5.
