Melim performs in Rio de Janeiro and announces date for new DVD

The band Melim, formed by the trio of brothers Rodrigo, Gabriela and Diogo, performed this Sunday (09), at Qualistage, located in Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro. When presenting the new “Quintal” tour, the band also recalled old hits, such as the songs “Meu Abrigo”, “Ouvi Dizer”, “Dois Corações”, “Gelo”, “Peça Felicidade”, among others.

The trio thanked the fans for their presence and asked some to name songs to be sung during the performance, in addition to sharing some important information for the Rio public first hand, such as the recording date of the new DVD, scheduled for the 9th of November this year.

Between tributes to Djavan and close relatives, the trio ended on a note of nostalgia with the sound of “Meu Abrigo”. The band also mentioned the Grammy nomination and thanked their fans saying that “they were the best awards”.

Melim band members

Each band member has their own vocal characteristics and musical abilities. Diogo Melim is responsible for vocals, acoustic guitar and guitar; Rodrigo Melim plays the guitar, the ukulele and also sings vocals; Gabriela Melim contributes her voice and plays instruments such as the keyboard and harmonica.
