This Saturday (28th), the program “Altas hora” was aired on TV Globo, with the participation of Preta Gil. On the program, the singer commented on her husband's betrayal and told why she thanked columnist Leo Dias for publicizing the betrayal. The artist also spoke a little about the cancer she recently overcame.

Preta Gil thanked Leo Dias because according to her if he hadn't revealed her ex-husband's betrayal perhaps she would still be married to Godoy without knowing anything, she also said that she is not ashamed to talk about the event because many women go through this and can break the silence, thus helping women not to accept toxic relationships.

Details of the betrayal

According to Leo Dias' report, Preta Gil's ex-husband did not support the artist during her fight against cancer, he allegedly took a trip to Uruguay and on his return to Brazil he was caught with his lover. According to columnist Leo Dias, Rodrigo Godoy only admitted that he was actually cheating on Preta Gil after it was revealed to the public. It is also worth mentioning that Preta Gil said that before the discovery she was already suspicious of her ex-husband due to their estrangement.

Cure of cancer

On August 22, 2023, singer Preta Gil came out to the public to announce that she was cured of the bowel cancer she had been facing for some time. According to Preta, the surgery was long, however, it was a success, she stated that her body is free from cell carcinogens, but complete healing will be a process. Preta stated that the surgery lasted 14 hours and that she was well looked after by the doctors who attended to her and thanked the entire team who took care of her at this fragile moment in her life.
