What is Leaping Bunny?
Leaping Bunny certification is granted by the Leaping Bunny Program, an international program that certifies products free from animal testing. Founded in 1996, Leaping Bunny seeks to raise awareness of brands and people about ethical practices in the beauty and hygiene products market. To obtain the certificate, the company goes through an audit process, which checks the entire production chain. This ensures that no animal testing is carried out in the product development phases.
This certification is recognized around the world as a symbol of trust, ethics and integrity, helping people make conscious choices and support more and more Cruelty Free companies. Some examples of national and international companies that also have this certification are: Avon, Natura, Unilever and The Body Shop.
About toys
Two toys were launched by Rare Beauty, both inspired by the brand's products. The first is the Soft Pooch Blush, inspired by the brand's Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. The other toy is the Pawfect Strokes Mascara Dog Toy, inspired by the brand's best-selling mascara. Both toys are interactive and have a removable handle, just like the brand's makeup.
The toys were a hit on social media due to their similarity to products sold by Rare Beauty. In the Instagram post the brand wrote: “We’ve always been cruelty-free, but now it’s official: Rare Beauty is Leaping Bunny Certified.”. The products are now on sale on the brand's website.
