Reborn: Buba uses a fake belly to fool José Inocêncio

In Renascer, after José Venâncio (Rodrigo Simas) makes José Inocêncio (Marcos Palmeira) happy with the news that he is going to be a grandfather, things get complicated for Buba (Gabriela Medeiros).

The plot takes an unexpected turn when Eliana (Sophie Charlotte) begins to question José Inocêncio (Marcos Palmeira) about his wife's pregnancy with his middle child.

The plot deepens with Eliana determined to take revenge on José Venâncio. She heads to Ilhéus with the intention of finding out about the lands inherited by her husband and fuels Inocêncio's distrust, suggesting that Buba, in fact, could be a transvestite and would be far from pregnant.

The farmer, driven by curiosity and determination, then decides to embark on a trip to Rio de Janeiro to see the situation of his daughter-in-law up close.

Unexpected ally

Faced with Inocêncio's imminent arrival in Rio, José Augusto (Renan Monteiro), aware of the truth about his sister-in-law's gender, runs to alert Buba. Together, they prepare the perfect scene to welcome Inocêncio, using a fake belly to support the illusion of pregnancy.

Upon disembarking in Rio, Inocêncio has his first meeting with Buba and, to his surprise, finds her showing off a noticeable baby bump. Without suspecting the artifice, the father-in-law is overcome with genuine emotion, receiving a warm welcome.

Buba, in turn, does not lose his composure and celebrates the visit: “It is a great pleasure to welcome you here in our home”. Inocêncio, equally enchanted, responds: “Now I can say that the pleasure is mine too”, showing his joy at the moment that he believed to be one of family union.
