Reynaldo Gianecchini encourages followers by remembering his victory against cancer
This Sunday (4), actor Reynaldo Gianecchini, 51, used his social networks to remember one of the most difficult moments of his life, when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, in 2011. This is a rare type of cancer which affects lymphocytes, responsible for our immune system.
The actor was invited by his doctor, Vanderson Rocha, to participate in the celebration of World Cancer Day, as he is one of the greatest examples of success and overcoming in the treatment of the disease. The symbolic act of wearing a scarf reminded people who are going through this moment.
In 2021, the celebrity told in an interview with the podcast 9 o'clock soap opera, as you faced the disease, you faced the moment as a challenge, as if life wanted to show you something and you decided you wouldn't run away from it. The actor vented.
Understand the diagnosis of “Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma”
Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is a type of blood cancer, just like leukemia, but it arises in the lymphatic system, responsible for defending our body. Chemotherapy is the standard treatment for the disease, however, stem cell transplant (or marrow transplant) is also an option for patients with this condition.
Symptoms of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas vary from person to person and include: painless swelling of the lymph nodes in the groin, armpits and neck, intense night sweats, with or without fever, fever, red rash spread across the body, nausea, vomiting or pain abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, tiredness, itching, coughing or difficulty breathing, headache and difficulty concentrating.
The more aggressive forms of non-Hodgkin lymphomas can have these and other symptoms, which include: pain in the neck, arms or abdomen, difficulty breathing, weakness in the arms and/or legs, mental confusion.

“It is possible to beat cancer”
To remember World Cancer Day, celebrated this Sunday (4), the artist decided to send a message of encouragement to his followers. “Every day, scientists get closer to more effective and less invasive therapies. Let us be persistent in the certainty that one day, the journey against this disease will be smooth”, in addition to highlighting the importance of science and research in favor of a broader health network for everyone, both for treatment and prevention.
