Rivaldo praises Diniz in the Brazilian National Team and ‘ignores’ Ancelotti

Rivaldo trust the work of Fernando Diniz at Brazilian Team and still not sure of the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti. Therefore, the five-time world champion believes in a great job by the coach of Fluminense on the national team. In an interview with “Betfair.net”, the Barcelona idol valued the arrival of the interim and even bet that he can have continuity in the Brazilian team for the 2026 World Cup.

“It’s a great opportunity for Diniz to be in the Brazilian national team. That’s why I thought he would accept this opportunity, even knowing that another coach could come in the middle of next year. I believe he will do his job, thinking about the way he works at Fluminense, having all the freedom, with the CBF giving him autonomy to call up whoever he wants”, he stated.

The former player recalled that Ancelotti is not 100% agreed with the Brazilian national team and warned that the CBF needs to keep an eye on this situation. Even for that reason, he believes that a good work by Fernando Diniz may cause some kind of doubt in the Brazilian Football Confederation in relation to his continuity as coach of the Canarinho team.

“Even knowing that another coach may come in 2024, I’m still not 100% sure of Ancelotti’s arrival. I didn’t hear any interview with the Italian coach saying that he already agreed with Brazil or not. Or that Real Madrid have already said something about continuing the year at the Spanish club”, he explained before finishing by saying that:

“I believe he will call up well and will be successful in the games he will coach. And I still believe that Diniz has great opportunities to continue until the World Cup. If he does a good job and the situation at Real Madrid goes well, with Ancelotti doing a good championship there, and he doesn’t come, Diniz could be a good commander in the selection in the World Cup”, he completed.
