Simone Mendes debuts on the soundtrack of ‘Terra e Paixão’ with a song by Roberto Carlos

Is it happiness that speaks? Well that’s what Simone Mendes is feeling. The singer has celebrated a very special invitation: she recorded a new version of “Cavalgada”, one of Roberto Carlos’ great hits.

Composed by Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos, “Cavalgada” features one of the most striking refrains in the King’s discography: “Stars change places / They come closer just to see / And they still shine in the morning / After we fall asleep”.

“I was extremely happy with the invitation to interpret ‘Cavalgada’, by our King. Anyone who knows my story knows that my big dream was to be able to sing along with him. I was already too happy to have accomplished this. Now, to give my voice to this song, what an honor, my God!”, celebrates the singer.

Still reaping the success of “Erro Gostoso”, Simone Mendes released, on the 14th, the single “Você Mereceu” (Bruno Cesar/Vinni Miranda), a track that has also won the hearts of the singer’s fans and the streaming platforms and is now in 123rd place in the Top 200. You deserved it / To see my body grabbing another / Biting the ice with rage / Crying over the combo”.

“You Deserved” is part of the repertoire of the second part of the “Cintilante” project. which was recorded on December 14, 2022, at Villa Mandacaru, in the city of Itu, in the interior of São Paulo, in an intimate recording for 300 guests among friends, family and fans. Entitled “Cintilante” (Ao Vivo / Vol.1), the first part of the project was presented in January of this year.

All four tracks on the album – “Erro Gostoso”, “Dois Fugitivos”, “Amnésia do Beijo” and “Arruma a Mala” – which marks a new phase in Simone’s career, have already surpassed the mark of three million streams on Spotify.

On June 18, Simone Mendes was surprised during her participation in the program “Domingão com Huck”, on TV Globo, when she received the “Double Diamond Certificate” for the hit “Erro Gostoso”, a song that conquered the country and became popular. From the project, two more tracks received a Gold Certificate: “Dois Fugitivos”, with more than 21 million streams, and “Oi, Erro”, which surpasses the mark of 19 million streams. The singer was still moved by the tributes from Ivete Sangalo and Kaká Diniz, her husband and manager.
