Taylor Swift carries military-grade bandages for possible stalker attacks

Singer Taylor Swift became one of the most talked about topics on social media after an attempted break-in by an alleged stalker in her apartment located in Manhattan, New York. However, this is not the first time that the blonde has suffered from these situations. According to the artist, in 2017 and 2021, other cases also occurred.

Taylor reported in an interview given in 2021 that she is prepared for this type of situation. “I carry a military-grade bandage, which is for gunshot or knife wounds. When you have people chasing you and trying to break into your house, you start to prepare for bad things,” she told Cantora.

The suspect was identified as David. He was arrested last Saturday (20) when he tried to break into the singer's residence, and said he was in love with her. According to police, he was taken into custody as an arrest warrant had been issued against him in 2017.

Stalker cases

In 2017, a man identified as 29-year-old Mohammed Jaffar was accused of making more than 60 calls to Taylor Swift's management company over a two-week period. Later, he allegedly tried to break into the house where the singer lived, ringing the doorbell repeatedly until he was detained.

According to The Guardian, the suspect posted images of sweets he planned to give to Taylor on Twitter. He also shared poems dedicated to the singer, saying that there was no one else in the world he loved as much as she did. He was arrested in March of the same year, but after psychiatric evaluation he was considered incapable of being tried by court.

In 2021, another man went up to the floor where the apartment that the singer had recently purchased was located, also in New York, and slept in her bed.

Most recent case

According to a witness' report to Page Six, the man had been roaming the neighborhood for a few weeks, especially where Taylor lives. Another person said that he had been hanging around the region for over a month.
The suspect slept on the balcony, smoked and shouted, making everyone uncomfortable with the situation. According to reports, he wanted to see the singer and had flowers that he wanted to give her. David did not react to the arrest when he was taken away by the agents.
