New measures in the presidency should be adopted in the coming weeks in Iran. After the death of Iranian president Efraim Raisi, this Sunday (19), the vice president, Mohammad Mokhber, should assume the position in the country with the approval of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The country's Constitution states that in the event of the president's death, the vice president must assume the position. In addition, there is a determination of a new presidential election within 50 days, drawn up by the three authorities of the republic's powers, vice president, head of the judiciary and the president of parliament.

Below the Supreme Leader comes the president, followed by the vice president, judiciary, parliament, Council of Guardians, where they ensure that laws passed by parliament are properly aligned with the constitution and Islamic law, and finally, the Armed Forces .

Following this front line are the Army, the police and the Revolutionary Guardians, whose objective is to protect the country's political system.

For any change to be carried out, the supreme leader is the one who must be consulted for such actions. He is above the president himself.

President Efraim Raise, 63, of Iran died last Sunday (19), after a helicopter he was traveling in crashed in a mountainous region.

According to the official press, the aircraft crashed due to weather conditions. In addition to the president, other authorities were on board the flight returning from the inauguration of a dam on the border with Azerbaijan.
