Decidedly, the fans have no more restraint. Incidents are increasing, around the world, while some allow themselves to throw various objects, on stage, in the direction of their favorite artists in the middle of a concert… even if it means seriously injuring them. The latest incident is believed to have taken place in Cardiff, South West England, on Saturday July 8, 2023. Harry Styles was continuing his tour Love on Tour when he received an unidentified projectile in the face, while he was going backstage before closing his show.
In a video, shared online by a member of the audience, we can actually see Harry Style, covered in green sequins, holding his face and then lowering himself towards the ground as he leaves the stage for a moment. The pain is palpable, but the 29-year-old British still found the strength to offer his audience a reminder by performing Kiwi a few moments later. This is not the first time that Olivia Wilde’s ex has been the victim of such incidents. Quite the contrary. Last month, he received a bouquet of flowers that did him more harm than good. Skittles, tampons, chicken nuggets… the inventory of things he receives during his career is endless.
Stop throwing Skittles on the stage!
“Do me a favor, don’t throw any more Skittles on the stage” had declared one of his musicians, during a previous misadventure. Harry Styles is, of course, not the only one receiving too much love on stage. Pink was recently treated to the ashes of someone’s mother who attended her concert…along with a huge wheel of cheese. Adele threatened her audience, with humor, denouncing the fact that the dangers have been increasing lately. And for good reason. While singing in New York on Sunday, June 18, 2023, Bebe Rexha received a phone call in the face and was partially disfigured by the force of the shock. On July 5, it was Drake who experienced this same situation. Fortunately, the projectile only hit her in the arm.
