Whindersson Nunes makes a mistake after tweeting about iFood

On Wednesday (20), Whindersson Nunes made a mistake after tweeting that he does not have the iFood app downloaded on his cell phone. The comedian has a current advertising contract with the company responsible for the food delivery app.

The artist used his Twitter account to vent about the eviction controversy in which he found himself involved and ended up making a mistake. “Last month I paid R$8,000 for stones for the garden, and by the way, I don’t have a garden. Today, I was evicted from a place I never set foot in, R$16 thousand reais from iFood and I DON'T EVEN HAVE THIS APP, I eat the same food every day at the same times”he wrote.

The singer's advisors also published a statement clarifying the controversy surrounding Whindersson's name.

“Regarding the news published today, July 20, on some news portals, about a lawsuit involving two commercial spaces rented by Windersson Nunes, the press office informs that the artist's administrative management is carried out by a third-party company and that he became aware of the facts and the existence of the properties through the media”the statement began.

In the tweet's comments, followers recalled the comedian's commercial partnership with the app. “Whindersson’s ad is still on air and is shown all the time on YouTube. The issue is not whether he uses it or not, the issue is that it’s annoying for the guy to be on air advertising the brand and then disdaining it. It’s unethical.”said one netizen.

The artist clarified what happened, but fans and followers question the fact since the advertising is still shown in some media outlets. “I don’t advertise iFood, I’ve done it once, one time, and that’s it”.

Léo Dias' column obtained a report from sources that informed that in addition to the contract being in force, the comedian is also acting as an ambassador for iFood.
