Without paying bail, Daniel Alves will remain in prison until Monday
The former player's defense did not pay the amount of 1 million reais in bail, for the player's conditional release, even after the court agreed to extend the deadline for payment, at the defense's request.
Dani Alves did not pay bail
The provincial hearing in Barcelona would be where the entire process is taking place, but it does not operate there on weekends. Since the bail was not paid, Daniel Alves must remain in prison from Friday (22) until Monday (25), awaiting a second order.
The majority of judges at the Barcelona Hearing, through a publication on Wednesday (20), decided to accept leaving the Brazilian free, while the defense awaits the definition of the sentence upon bail.
Rumors also arose that Neymar's family would pay bail for Dani Alves, but Neymar's father said through his social networks that he will not pay bail for the former player: “As everyone knows, at first, I helped Dani Alves, without any connection to any process. In this second moment, in a situation different from the previous one, in which the Spanish justice system has already decided on the conviction, they are speculating and trying to associate my name and that of my son with a matter that today is no longer our responsibility. I hope that Daniel finds all the answers he is looking for with his own family. For us, for my family, the matter is over. Now period!“, said the businessman.

What happened
After Dani Alves' conviction for rape in February, his defense decided to appeal the sentence and also requested that the player remain free for the final deliberation. The court accepted the request but ordered that the player's passports, both Brazilian and Spanish, be confiscated.
Furthermore, he will be obliged to maintain a distance of 1km from the victim's home, the place where he works and any other place he frequents; he will not be able to communicate with her by any means whatsoever; he cannot leave Spain and must appear in court whenever called.
In addition to Daniel being arrested, his mother is also being sued for publishing alleged images of the victim without authorization.
The former Barcelona player is imprisoned in a presidential complex 40 kilometers from the city of Catalonia, the Brians 2 prison. He has a house there, he bought it when he was still playing for the Spanish club and according to the press the ex-wife of Daniel Alves , Joana Sanz lives in the residence.
