Women of Sand: Marcos gives up on marrying Andrea

Marcos tells César that he is no longer going to marry Andrea and Virgílio listens and tells him to repeat it. Marcos tells his parents that he no longer loves Andrea. Marcos tells Sampaio that tomorrow he’s going to break up with Andrea. Arlete arrives at Virgílio’s house. Tonho da Lua tells Floriano that Raquel is destroying his sculptures. Marcos tells Virgílio that he’s not going to marry Andrea.

Mulheres de Areia was originally shown between February 1st and September 25th, 1993. The plot was written by Ivani Ribeiro and was directed by Carlos Magalhães, Ignácio Coqueiro and Wolf Maya.

Breno tells Vera that the beach water may be polluted and no one else will be able to go in the water. Virgílio sends an employee to investigate Ruth. Juju thinks Marcos is going to set the wedding date. Floriano fights with Raquel for meeting Vanderlei. Raquel tells Ruth that she spoke the truth. Tonho decides to go boating with Donato and Glorinha. Tonho and Donato decide to take a ride on the boat, just the two of them. Donato capsizes Tonho’s boat Tonho drowns. Isaura sees Tonho drowning and asks Raquel for help, who refuses. Virgílio asks Marcos to talk to Andrea only when Sampaio returns from his trip. Ruth saves Tonho da Lua. Ruth offers to teach Tonho how to swim. Tonho da Lua tells Ruth that Donato wants him to die. Breno bans the beach and residents are furious. Joel complains to Tônia about the mayor for interdicting the beach, but Tônia doesn’t agree.

Thursday, July 6th

Virgílio discovers that Breno has banned the beach. Marcos praises Breno’s attitude. Tonho sees Ruth kissing Marcos and regrets that he thinks she won’t teach him anymore. Virgil meets Raquel. Virgílio tells Raquel that her sister’s romance with Marcos has to end. Virgílio offers Raquel money to help separate Ruth from Marcos. Doctor and Priest are in favor of Breno. Tônia says that Joel’s joke wasn’t funny. Raquel tells Vanderlei about Virgílio. Ruth teaches Tonho how to swim. Raquel spends a lot of money at Tonia’s bazaar, and Tonia is suspicious.

Friday, July 7th

Virgílio fights with Breno. Ruth tells Raquel to stay away from Marcos. Marcos tells Virgílio that Breno was right to close the beach. Virgílio makes a move on Tonia, who rejects him. Raquel goes from Ruth once again to Marcos. Marcos tells Ruth that he will never confuse her again, but he tells Raquel that. Ruth is sad that Marcos doesn’t show up. Marcos tells Ruth (Raquel) that he loves her. Alaor arrives at Pontal Alaor looks for Ruth. Alaor talks to Raquel thinking it’s Ruth. Ruth tells Alaor that they are just friends. Raquel asks Ruth who tricked her. Alaor returns angry to the farm.
