Akon, 21 Savage, NX Zero and Deadmau5 are confirmed for Rock in Rio 2024

New names have joined the list of Rock in Rio 2024 attractions! Singer Akon, rapper 21 Savage, DJ Deadmau5 and Brazilian band NX Zero will perform on the stages of the next edition, which celebrates the festival's 40th anniversary. The information was released exclusively during prime time on Jornal Nacional yesterday (27) and was then confirmed on the event's social media.

Owner of great romantic hits from the 2000s, such as “Lonely” and “Don't Matter”, Akon will perform on the last night of the festival, September 22nd. According to the schedule, he will share the day with singers Shawn Mendes and Ne-Yo, previously confirmed by the event's production team, on Palco Mundo, while singer Mariah Carey will lead the Sunset. Akon's show promises to provoke a lot of nostalgia with his countless melancholic hits to the public.

For the first time at the festival, rapper 21 Savage will make his debut on September 13th. While DJ Deadmau5 will be headliner from the stage New Dance Order on the same day, Palco Mundo will feature shows by: 21 Savage, Travis Scott and the Brazilian Matuê. Big on the international rap scene, 21 Savage won, in 2020, the award for Best Rap Song at the Grammy Awardsdue to its composition “Lot”, partnership with rapper J. Cole.

From São Paulo to the entire country, the rock band NX Zero was also invited to the 40th anniversary edition of Rock in Rio. Songs such as “Cedo ou Tarde” and “Razões e Emoções”, their biggest hits, could be included in the setlist of the show that will take place on September 14th, at Palco Sunset.

How to purchase tickets

After the postponement of general ticket sales for the festival, the new date is now scheduled for May 23rd, starting at 7pm, Brasília time. For those who had already purchased the “Rock in Rio Card” in advance, it is possible to select the desired festival day only until May 21st, through the Rock in Rio section, on the Ticketmaster website.
