Perrie Edwards announces release date for new single “Forget About Us”

British singer and songwriter Perrie Edwards announced, this Wednesday (27), on her social networks, the release date of her newest single “Forget About Us”. The song is part of the artist's new album, which is the first of her solo career.

In the announcement, made on her official Instagram profile, Perrie was simple and clear, and revealed the single's release date for April 12th.

Start of solo career

At 30 years old, this will be Perrie's first solo album. For 11 years, the singer was a member of the musical group Little Mix, 3 years after the band ended, this is the singer's first project. In her post, fans expressed joy upon hearing the news.

The public's first glimpse of the possibility of the singer's new album took place in January this year, through a publication shared by Perrie herself on her social networks. In the shared image, the artist appears in a studio recording a song, and in the caption, she informs that she is singing her heart out.

New album release

Recently, Perrie had already published a preview of the song, however, contrary to what most artists tend to do by sharing short previews, the singer shared a 30-second video with the public and made it clear in the caption that she didn't care about the length. preview, I just wanted fans to enjoy the song.
