Amaro Lima releases the album “Noite Manimal”

On October 27th, on all streaming channels, Amaro Lima presents “Noite Manimal”, an album that revisits the greatest hits of his former band and features special appearances by great artists from ES.

The essence of Rockongo, a vibrant fusion of modernity and popular culture, continues to be the backbone of Amaro's work, reflected strikingly in this album. The inspiration to re-record the songs came during the Noite Manimal shows, in which many heard the songs for the first time, fell in love with them, but faced the difficulty of finding them on digital platforms. Amaro shares: “People loved the show, but they couldn't have more contact with the music afterwards and ended up charging me for this record.”

The songs were chosen according to the public's requests and gained a new look, following the original arrangements by the band Manimal. To add a unique touch, Amaro invited artists from different styles to collaborate on some tracks. Alemão do Forró (Na Puxada de Rede), André Prando (Marina), Fábio Mozine (Água de Benzer), Renato Casanova (À Toa), Beth Mc (O Congo, O Mar e O Amor) and Luiza Dutra (Encontrei) print their distinct marks on each song.

Amaro recorded the guitars, basses, percussions and backing vocals, and the production was carried out in a partnership between Amaro and Jackson Pinheiro, which also included contributions from musicians Douglas Helmer (drums) and Barol Beats (keyboards).

“Noite Manimal” represents not only a celebration of Amaro Lima's musical past, but also a striking and contemporary evolution of this unique sound that is Rockongo.

Amaro Lima is a musician, singer, composer and producer. He was one of the founders of the band Manimal and helped spread the Rockongo rhythm throughout Brazil and the world. He composed great hits of popular music from Espírito Santo such as “Encontrei”, “Água de Benzer” and “Na pullada de Rede”. He toured Europe and released four CDs and a DVD with Manimal.

In 2007 he embarked on a solo career and his first CD “Coletivo” was among the best-selling albums of the year in the state.

In 2012, he went to Seattle/USA where he recorded a CD with the band 7 Kinds of Monkeys, which includes the legendary American producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, among others). Everything recorded in the documentary “Search for gold” with behind-the-scenes details of the recording and formation of the band.

After a period dedicated to production and studies, including participation in MECON (Music Entrepeneurship Conference) at Harvard University/USA, in 2019, he released the compilation album: Hits! …and other songs from the archive. Along with the singles “Vai Ficar”, “ Quando loja o reggae ” and “Fogo no Tambor”, where he returns to his sound origins of modernity with popular culture, from the Beats of pop music with the congo drums of ES.

During isolation, the musician got even closer to his audience, with special projects for his YouTube channel and Instagram. Creating new musical partnerships and increasing his followers significantly during this period. “Dia Clarinho”, “Amor Matador”, “Clareou” and “Saudade” were released and became the most played on their networks.

In 2022, Amaro launched the remastered 15th anniversary edition of Álbum Coletivo and also Moborama, his music strategy consultancy company to serve other artists.

In 2023, the artist presents the album “Noite Manimal”, where he brings together great hits from his former band and has several special guests to perform the songs with him. In addition to continuing with the show of the same name where he pays tribute to his old band and Brazilian music, mixing new elements to Rockongo. (Pop Music + popular culture) its sonic identity.
