RBD releases new music after 12 years and fans are nostalgic

The RBD fan woke up with a feeling of nostalgia, a week before starting the “Soy Rebelde Tour”, the Mexican group released a new song, “Cerquita de Ti” is the title of the single that arrived this Thursday, 17 August, at 11 pm (Brasília time). The group's last new song took place in 2020, without the presence of Dulce María: Siempre He Estado Aquí. The eternal redhead did not participate in the live Ser o Escolha because she was dedicated to motherhood. Released in November of that year, SHEA broke a 12-year fast without new songs from RBD.

“Soy Rebelde Tour will be the sixth and final tour by the Mexican pop group, RBD. The return marks the group's reunion 15 years, after the last series of shows, Tour del Adiós, ended in December 2008.”Soy Rebelde Tour 2023” features Anahí, Dulce María, Christian Chávez, Maite Perroni and Christopher Uckermann. In Brazil, in addition to São Paulo, it will also visit Rio de Janeiro, where it will perform at the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium, Engenhão, on 11/19 .

Remember the trajectory

The musical group RBD appeared fictionally in the soap opera, “Rebelde” (2004 – 2006), shown in Brazil on SBT in 2005, but soon officially left the screen and won success and awards all over the world. The soap opera takes place at the Elite Way School, seeking to understand their own personalities amidst the conflicts of their youth. The plot focused on the protagonists Mia Colucci, Roberta Pardo, Lupita Fernandez, Diego Bustamante Giovanni Mendez and Miguel Arango, young people who decided to start a musical career with the band called RBD.

RBD took the stage on October 4, 2004 (a date that later became known as World RBD Day), with the release of its debut album, “Rebelde”. a Diamond Record and Gold Record in Mexico, in addition to a Gold Record in Brazil. The success of RBD went from the soap opera to the world. Although its trajectory lasted only four years, the achievements achieved by RBD were so relevant to the music industry, especially the Latin one, that several of its records remain untouched even today, eighteen years after its end.
