Upcoming games made by Xbox Game Studios such as Fable, Avowed and Clockwork Revolution will not be released for Xbox One as Microsoft’s focus is now on the Xbox Series.
The information was revealed by the head of Xbox Game Studios, Matt Booty, to the website axles, noting that this change would happen at some point. “We’ve moved to the ninth generation,” Booty said, referring to the Xbox Series.
The executive added that there are still internal teams working to support games already available for Xbox One, such as Minecraft and Halo Infinite, with the latter continuing to receive new content that works on the last generation console.
In addition, Booty pointed out that if you only have an Xbox One, you can play Xbox Series games through the cloud by subscribing to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, as with Microsoft Flight Simulator.
