“My weaknesses are his strengths and vice versa”

In an exclusive interview with Ela, actress and producer Gal Gadot spoke about her relationship with her husband Jaron Varsano and her new film “Agent Stone”. The 38-year-old actress was in Brazil this June at Parque Ibirapuera, in São Paulo, considered by marketing professionals to be the country with the biggest fans on the planet, to promote the film “Agent Stone”, which premieres next Friday 11. The production stars Rachel Stone, a spy for a mysterious organization whose mission is to maintain world peace using an artificial intelligence tool coveted by hackers.

Gal Gadot beyond acting

Gadot is also a producer on “Agent Stone.” In fact, in recent years, he has specialized in just that: acting and producing films, especially action films. “Wonder Woman 1984”For example, 2020 was your co-production. “I'm a big fan of this genre. After the success of 'Wonder Woman,' when I realized there was room for more female-focused action stories, I gained the confidence to create our own things, tell stories from a female perspective.”says the artist.

Her production company Pilot Wave is a partnership with her husband, Israeli real estate entrepreneur Jaron Varsano, whom she met at a yoga retreat in the desert. The two have been married since 2008 and are parents to three girls: Alma, 13; Maya, 5 years old; and Daniela, 2. Working alongside him was a “organic development of the relationship”. “Jaron is a businessman and completes me. My weaknesses are his strengths and vice versa. Being able to work with the man I love most and know will protect me is a dream.”says Gal.

Annette Bening was the inspiration for starting her own business

According to her, Annette Bening, an actress nominated for four Oscars, with whom Gal starred in the film “Death on the Nile” (2022), inspired her to open her own business. At a birthday dinner at Gadot's house for “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins, Gal asked Annette for advice. The interpreter of Gisele from Fast and Furious describes Annette as an actress and an incredible mother of four children and reports that she asked her how she manages all this and at one point in the dialogue she stated that if you want something you have to go get it, and that's how it works in Hollywood. And at that moment she looked at her husband and they both smiled and knew what they were going to do.

It's strange, to say the least, that the actress asked how Annette “does everything”, and Gal herself is always asked the same question – usually accompanied by “Wonder Woman” puns. How can she be so many things — one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood, producer, owner of a healthy brand of macaroni and cheese, mother of three daughters, friend of her fans… yes, Brazilians praised her charisma on Palcos Netflix.

The Hollywood star emphasized that first and foremost she is the mother of Alma, Maya and Daniela and Jaron's wife, daughter and sister and that she is very connected to her family. But she confessed that at the same time, when her daughters are at school, she likes to move around and create. And she says that she loves the routine of not having a routine. When she organizes herself for a film, or when recording, she goes into work mode, but always tries to balance both modes.

In the star's gaze, this entire experience helps you stay centered. “I wasn’t born into a royal or Hollywood family. I came from a small town, in a small country, in the middle of the Middle East. For me, fame and success are not guaranteed.”, says the actress. The “Wonder Woman” interpreter stated that she doesn’t think she has changed much compared to the girl she was. She described herself as humble, grateful and happy to be where she is. And sometimes there are moments when she reflects on whether this is really happening to her, but she is happy to have these questions because they keep her grounded.
