Anitta releases music video for “Double Team” and release date for the new album

On Thursday night (21), singer Anitta released her newest single, “Double Team”, through her social networks, alongside Spanish artist Bad Gyal and Puerto Rican Brray, along with the music video for the song. .

The provocative video does justice to the song's lyrics and addresses the funk that the singer wants to portray for her next album “Funk Generation”, which even had its release date announced by Anitta, for April 26th.

Funk Generation

The singer's sixth studio album will be focused exclusively on funk, with several national and international partnerships, being a “continuation” or “evolution” of the singer's last EP, called “Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story”, which featured with three singles and one of them will also be on the future album.

For “Funk Generation”, the song “Funk Rave”, present on the last EP, will also be part of Anitta’s new album. Through a live on Instagram, the singer confirmed that the other two songs on the EP, “Used to Be” and “Casi Casi” will be left off the album.

In addition to “Funk Rave”, the singer herself also confirmed that “Grip” and “I Wanna F” (which will not have that name), will be part of “Funk Generation”, along with the already known “Joga Pra Lua”, “ Mil Veces” and “Double Team”.

The partnership with singer Sam Smith, who had asked not to be included for image reasons, which delayed part of the project, was agreed and the Brit returned to the new album with the song “Ahí”.

Anitta also stated that the song “Girl Like Me”, recorded alongside American Chloe Bailey, will possibly not be on the album, as part of the song contains a sample from a song by Diddy, who has not yet released the rights.

The Brazilian, during the live, confirmed that in total, the album will have a total of 15 songs, with the rest being released until the day of the album's release.
