Bolsonaro's request to postpone his testimony was denied by Moraes
Summoned to testify about the Operation Tempus Veritatis, This Thursday (22), the person under investigation, Jair Bolsonaro, formalized with his defense a request to advance his testimony. Upon receiving such a request, the Minister of Federal Court of JusticeAlexandre de Moraes denied it.
The request
Bolsonaro's defense asked last Tuesday (20), that the former president be exempted from appearing before the PF. The lawyers who made the request understand that they did not have “full access to all investigations and evidence gathered from cars†and that “there are no reasons for any statement scheduled by the Federal Police for February 22ndâ€.
The lawyers then requested a postponement last Monday (19), the supreme minister informed that Bolsonaro's legal advisors had already had full access to the material from the investigations, including the plea bargain. of Bolsonaro's former aide-de-camp, lieutenant colonel Mauro Cid.
The former president's defense continues to insist on previous arguments, which have already been rejected by the STF. The supreme court has already made it clear that the person being investigated and his defense have already had full access to the records and that, therefore, there is no need to postpone the scheduled testimony.

Operation
A Operation Tempus Veritatis began on February 8th after the Federal Police (PF) have access to documents that prove an attempted coup d'état by the former president, Jair Bolsonaro and figures who orbited his government.
The operation launched made public a series of evidence that made clear the intention to invalidate the 2022 elections and prevent President Lula from being inaugurated. One of them is the recording of a meeting between Bolsonaro and his ministers, where the then president said that they could not wait for the results of the polls to act.
After calling for a demonstration in response to the PF operation, on Avenida Paulista, next Sunday (25), Bolsonaro states that he never considered a coup d'état.
In addition to him, other members of his government were also summoned to testify at the Federal Politics this week. They are:
-
General Augusto Heleno (minister of Bolsonaro's Security Cabinet)
-
Anderson Gustavo Torres (former Minister of Justice and Public Security)
-
Marcelo Costa Câmara (former head of the Parallel Information Service)
-
Mário Fernandes (former substitute minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency)
-
Tércio Arnaud (Bolsonaro's advisor)
-
Almir Garnier (former Navy commander)
-
Valdemar Costa Neto (president of PL)
-
Paulo Sérgio Nogueira (former Minister of Defense)
-
Cleverson Ney Magalhães (former officer of the Land Operations Command)
