The Boston Celtics overcame the Atlanta Hawks by 128 to 120 on Thursday night (27). With the victory, the franchise ended the series against the Hawks in 4 to 2, guaranteeing qualification to the semifinals of the Eastern Conference.
For the Celtics, Jaylen Brown was one of the highlights of the match, with 32 points and five rebounds. Alongside him, Jayson Tatum also performed at a high level, scoring 30 points and getting 14 rebounds.
remember the game
Despite the balanced start between the teams, the Celtics roster was already dictating the match in the middle of the first quarter, imposing a pace that only Hawks star Trae Young was able to keep up with. Young scored three three-pointers and accumulated 18 points. At the end of the first partial, however, the Boston team remained ahead with a score of 35 to 34.
In an electrifying second quarter, Trae continued to be strong alongside teammates, such as Onyeka Okongwu and Dejounte Murray, who reached a total of 11 rebounds and 11 assists, respectively, in the duel.
The plays left Atlanta with a certain advantage, but it was not enough to stop the Celtics from continuing to advance: while Tatum grabbed important rebounds, Brown was free to play the shots. The game again went to halftime with Boston leading, now 68-67.

With three minutes left in the duel, the Celtics defense closed, Brown stole decisive balls and Tatum led plays. The sequence completed the victory of Boston in a score led by eight points: 128 to 120.
next duel
Thinking about the next match, Jaylen Brown said he is ready to face the Philadelphia 76ers, commanded by Joel Embiid and James Harden.
“We know they will fight. It’s very difficult to win in Philadelphia, their fans really get involved with the game. It will be fun“, he said. “We know they have great players like Joel Embiid, James Harden and company. So it’s going to be another test. And we’ll be ready to fight again. I’m on it and I can’t wait” said the 26-year-old athlete Jaylen Brown who, after suffering a fracture after clashing with Jayson Tatum, started to use a mask as a facial protection.
