Daniel Alves breaks his silence after leaving prison: “I don’t have much…”

Daniel Alves was sentenced to four years and six months in prison for rape in Barcelona, ​​Spain. However, a few weeks after the conviction, the Brazilian was released on provisional release. Prevented from leaving the Catalan city and having to appear in court on Fridays, the former player gave his first interview after his release.

In a statement to 'El Periódico', a Spanish newspaper, Daniel Alves stated that he has nothing to do other than serve his sentence. However, at the moment, the Brazilian has been doing this outside the penitentiary where he remained for almost 15 months, in preventive detention. “That’s what’s up to me. I don’t have much else to do either,” he said.

Furthermore, the Brazilian responded about the time he spent in detention, preventively as mentioned above, awaiting his trial. Daniel Alves guaranteed that he underwent an adaptation and survived this period. “Wherever I go, I survive. I adapt to everything, because for me it’s not the place that makes the person, but the person that makes the place”, said.

According to the Spanish publication, the Brazilian appears to have a more haggard and visibly thinner appearance. Furthermore, 'El Periódico' revealed that the interview was carried out in a restaurant in Barcelona, ​​while the former full-back was having lunch in the presence of a friend.

Finally, the report stated that Daniel Alves claimed to be playing a “game” with the Barcelona Court and does not know how long it will last, even with the knowledge of his sentence of four years and six months in detention.
