Final Fantasy XVI battle director Ryota Suzuki said he believes Final Fantasy XVI is his “personal masterpiece”. The designer’s speech, who previously worked on Devil May Cry 5, Dragon’s Dogma and Monster Hunter, was said during the celebration broadcast of the game’s pre-release.
According to him, the team “put a priority on designing this game’s battle system to appeal to those who have never played or are not adept at action games.”
He also said he hoped that “those who have never played an action game before will be able to experience Final Fantasy XVI. I hope this game gives you the chance to experience the allure an action game can bring.”
Final Fantasy XVI arrives on June 22 for PS5. A free demo is now available on the PS Store.
